The All-Seer

In Medieval Renaissance Eurasia, Baldric the foresighted Greenwood Sorcerer, on his travels to the Orient, joins with the exotic witch Zamina who seeks to restore peaceful alliances within the lands of Transoxiana and cure the spreading of the noxious Maerren plague.

Sparked by strange events, Baldric then embarks on a perilous and spiritual quest to the mystical lost world of Shamballah to find a unique cosmic element.

In an alternate world set in 1220 AD...

During the medieval renaissance in a dystopian era where the theocratic Christian Church in Rome and the pious Franks of the Carolingian Empire (the Kingdom of France and the Holy Roman Empire) rule the Western world and actively suppress heresy and paganism throughout Europe, and the Eastern world is divided by civil war with the Crusaders and the Saracens and the threat of the Mongol invasions.

At the same time, a strange and inexplicably infectious pandemic disease is spreading, the Maerren Plague, a noxious energy blight which emanates from the biological life cycle whenever the world's ecological balance is abused.

Magic is losing its power; songs are being forgotten; people and animals are sickening to death or going aggressively mad; plant life is withering away and unleashing toxic fumes; irregular weather patterns appear creating storms and evaporating seas, and the conscious spirit of the "Earth Mother" is slowly being drained of its vital force essence and losing the will to live.
